New Medium
Wanting to have a go with painting in a medium other than watercolor, the other day I went to the campus bookstore and picked up the cheapest acrylic set they had there. At left is the first acrylic painting I’ve ever done. The view is looking west from our house, towards Berryessa Gap.
- Very cool to have stood in that approximate spot and to recognize the view. (Also cool how the nearest power pole is the single straight, stand-at-attention, engineered-formal thing in the painting, while everything else looks blown about by wind, biology, and distance. Among other cool things.)— Ron Sullivan 24. April 2006, 10:39 Link
