Valles Caldera

Cerro La Jara During my conference in Albuquerque, we went on a field trip to the Jemez Mountains and the Valles Caldera National Preserve. This is the best preserved location of a caldera complex volcano in the world, about 30 miles in diameter. This is a view of one of the volcanic domes in the caldera, Cerro La Jara, which is visible from NM Highway 4.

  1. I’ve just finished reading a bunch of blogs featuring the first snow of the season and the view of the caldera is such an interesting “hot” alternative.

I’ve been enjoying the pomegranate print. It is on display in my dining room and I’ve received so many compliments on it. Thanks again!
