Lunch With Cat

Lunch with CharlieCharlie here is, as always, interested in food, preferably ours rather than his. The sample of the apple proved to be particularly purrworthy.

Our cats are strictly indoor cats, but we’re getting them used to being on a harness and leash, so they can at least sauter a bit outside. Diego is taking to the effort with a lot more enthusiasm than Charlie. Today he explored a patch of grass on the field outside our house.

  3. Oh, we must visit him and Diego. He’s such a big boy now and that fur is luscious!

  5. my cats will hop up on the table and swipe the food from my fingertips, special favorites are crackers and cookies. they are also fond of finishing off the milk in the bottom of the cereal bowl. but the oddest thing I’ve seen a cat eat was my late orange tabby Hotcakes, who had a craving for watermelon.

  6. I, too, adopted a peach-colored Charlie cat when I lived in Davis many moons ago. Must be something in the water. Charles J moved several different times (to Montana and to Massachusetts), and his mail moved with him. Yes, he began to receive mail at his Montana address. Thought about trying to register him to vote-should have, given a cat was recently awarded a degree from one of those bogus on-line degree factories-but he was too refined to commit fraud. In fact, he hated to be corrected about any bad behavior and studiously avoided it. He did have a flaw, however, While he would NEVER have been caught on the counter, if a butter dish were to have been mistakenly placed there, he would have left his (tongue) mark.
