Digestive Table

Those folks who have trouble getting their dinner leavings outside to the compost pile might want to consider building a digestive table. This project, designed by artist Amy Youngs, is a vermicomposting system built underneath a round dining table — she terms this a “ a convenient, personal waste processing system built into a table.” Construction plans are provided on her site.

Sorry, but how hard can it be? Good grief!

  2. Chris doesn’t want the worms in our garage! Imagine if they were at her knees at the dinner table!! Very interesting. I think I’ll go for the bin method in the garage this spring. Thanks for sharing!

  3. Some years back, I ran across a piece of furniture, a sort of folk-art painted chest that has been its owners’ coffee table — and worm bin. If it hadn’t been orange, I’d‘ve brought it home.
