American Robins at the Capitol

American Robin I spent yesterday in Sacramento at the State Scientist Day event for kids. I got there early, though, and was able to draw these robins foraging on the watered lawns around Arnold’s fortress…

  1. Well I have been seeing my first American Robins. I’m in Champaign, Illinois for a conference and feel sad that there wasn’t time for a drawing trip to the west coast! I have seen some amazing birds including the eastern bluebird and the northern cardinal. Lots of red and lots of blue. And possibly a thirteen lined squirrel and woodchucks I think. But I have been thinking about your sketches as I have been battling with the heat to try and capture something on paper.
