Turkeys in the Shade

Turkeys in the 95° shade, Derwent Inktense with wash It’s been hot today—very hot. The turkeys were all in the shade of the walnut tree at lunchtime. I think I’m going to try and do some studies of feet soon — they have very cool feet, and they’re a size you can actually see.

  1. Look at the gorgeous details! We saw a huge flock of them on our way to our homeschool co-op yesterday. They are so very cute.

  2. Very nice, as always. If you’re going to sketch feet, might I suggest the lovely lobed appendages of coots. Then you’ll have an excuse to use the term ‘fissipalmate’!
