The back of the Great White Throne as seen from the Temple of Sinawava. More photos in the series at [Paths of Light] - Joel
I know sunrises are overdone, but I rarely see them. These two were at the Outer Banks in North Carolina last September (2002). I wish I had some telltale pictures of Big Orange County, known as Knoxville when the Tennessee Volunteers aren't playing football. Wendy at [Other Wind]
This depicts the burnt palm trees behind a ruined house in San Bernardino. The fire was still burning, about three miles away.

addendum - can anyone tell me why these pics don't show up as the others do?
This is a shadow under the orange of sodium street light cast across the golden leaves of autumn. No flash (for obvious reasons), balance pushed to the max afterwards. I think I should have cropped it differently, but I didn't. (I hope this works, it's my first post - I'm qB and my blog is [frizzyLogic])
It takes ever so long for the orange to come out here in Southern California. This was taken along one of my favorite walks in the neighborhood. [Paths of Light]
I barely got this one up. Off to see if the San Bernardino fire spared or destroyed the house where I grew up. My mother forgot to bring the wedding pictures. She left in that much of a hurry. Will post news at [my blog] - Joel
Wendy post all the sunrises you like. Every place is beautiful and different, the times mystical. - Joel
Thanks for posting the sunset Joel. It is a sad theme. I’ve been trying to keep up with news about the fire on NPR, but reading your blog has made it sink in more. I hope Saturday brings rain for you.-- Wendy
We got rain, Wendy! Wow! You're powerful! - Joel
