Living Among Jackrabbits

jackrabbit.jpg

jackrabbit wakes
jackrabbit peers
jackrabbit hops
jackrabbit hears

jackrabbit leaps
jackrabbit flies
jackrabbit loves
jackrabbit sighs

jackrabbit flees
jackrabbit hides
jackrabbit sees
jackrabbit's alive

Nice poem. What's it called?

I copied this from an April 2002 journal entry (I was taking a class at the time on Mexican poetry; the chant is a widely-used form in Nahuátl). It says "Jackrabbit" at the top but I didn't like that as a title for the poem--am still pondering. Thanks for the nudge.

Pica, I'm loving seeing your drawings! More! May they multiply like rabbits!

What big ears they have. Lovely images. Great. I think it's hares in the (dis-)UK who have the big ears.
